ZED, Zero Defect Zero Effect

A national scheme that assesses a manufacturer on quality and on environmental effect together. Zero defect means the part reaches the buyer right. Zero effect means making it did not cost the surroundings more than it should. Assessment covers production, safety, energy, cleanliness and waste.

Lean Manufacturing

Certified under the national Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Scheme. Lean is about removing what does not add value: wasted movement, waiting, rework, excess stock. On our floor it shows up as parts flowing from one process to the next without sitting idle, which is what keeps a lead time honest.
